Khulu Lodge sits proudly in a private concession bordering Hwange National Park

Plan the ultimate family safari holiday to Zimbabwe and stay in the impressive Khulu Ivory Lodge on Hwange National Park’s southern boundary in a private concession reaching an awesome 6000 acres. A mere 3 km from the main Bulawayo to Victoria Falls road, this great accessibility by no means detracts from the authentic wilderness safari you are seeking and you will love the wealth of wildlife at your fingertips. Khulu Ivory Lodge sits proudly in its own conservation area so find out all you have to know to plan your Zimbabwe holiday with the safari experts here.

Only 18 guests can stay at one time in the 9 private ensuite rooms and everyone gathers for meals around a large table in a vibrant atmosphere of sharing and laughing about the safari sightings that day.  Choose to sleep in 7 elegant double thatched rooms on stilts in the tree canopy or go for the grander tented presidential suites for more luxury and space.

Take in panoramic views from your private deck over the waterhole lit at night by a soft spotlight. Enjoy ensuite showers (and baths in the presidential suites), fans, electric blankets, and quality earthy décor. The elevated suites are cool in summer and warm in winter, ideal for watching elephants move around the nearby thickets and waterhole.

Get out and about on game drives and thrilling bush walks to find Hwange National Park’s diverse selection of more than 100 mammals and 400 bird species – Buffalo, Sable, Kudu, Eland, Waterbuck, Bushbuck, Warthog and Impala, as well as lion, hyenas, wild dogs, jackals, leopard and cheetah.

Relax beside the swimming pool, grab a drink at the bar and read something fascinating between game drives and walks, birding safaris and cultural excursions to view the community projects as supported by Khulu Ivory Lodge.
