Chobe Game Lodge is large and charismatic – Botswana’s premier venue for game viewing on land and water. It is also the only permanent game lodge within the Chobe National Park with views of the Chobe River. The female team of staff are committed to their guests, the wildlife and to reducing the lodge’s impact on the environment.
Reminiscent of a large hotel and just a 20-minute drive from Kasane, Chobe Game Lodge has 47 rooms for about 94 guests at one time. Most rooms have river views and all rooms face the perfect green lawns and gardens with the Chobe National Park sprawling in the distance.
The Chobe River within Chobe National Park teems with animals of all sizes and types – tourists flock to the region which makes this part of the park busy with boats and 4×4 safari vehicles. See the largest herds of elephant in the world from this luxury lodge and tick off amazing species of animals on daily game drives: buffalo African Wild Dog, lion pride, sable and roan antelope, giraffe, red lechwe and hippos. In the dry season, game drives reward visitors with photographic opportunities on the Chobe River floodplains.
Boat safaris add another dimension to game viewing at Chobe Game Lodge. Shallow, easy to drive boats are perfect for peaceful, private morning or sunset cruises or guests can opt for the more luxurious Mosi-oa-Tunya double-decker river cruiser with full bar and snacks.
Stroll down to the Chobe River and take the boardwalk to see the river and its wildlife. This green addition to the lodge is made from recycled plastic but looks and feels like real wood. Lovely seats allow guests to ponder life and soak in the awesome African views.
