Rekero Tented Camp Overview
Rekero Camp is sited in a dramatic location in the heart of Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve, close to both the Talek and Mara rivers. The tented camp is spread down the river from a large bend in the river to an ancient wildebeest crossing point which sits in front of a large mess tent.
 
The seasonal camp is family- run and owned and is open all year except during April and May. The camp is small and intimate with all the right ingredients for a wonderful Kenya honeymoon retreat. The service is excellent, the dining out of this world and the guiding fantastic.

Rekero Tented Camp offers Masai Mara accommodation in 9 guest tents, 2 of which are family tents. All the tents have river facing verandas and en-suite bathrooms with safari bucket showers and flush toilets. Each tent comes with a personal steward and solar lighting is provided 24 hours a day.

The shared areas of this intimate safari camp in Kenya are centred on a pretty lawn which slopes gently from the lounge and mess tent to the riverbank, with informal, natural tropical gardens all around. Guests can take a tangible reminder of their stay when they buy a souvenir from the gift shop.
 

Game viewing is mostly by vehicle, and the knowledge of the local guides is such that guests from Rekero Camp are not likely to encounter other tourists during their stay. Guests can also enjoy walking safaris, balloon rides and visits to local communities.
