A local representative will meet you off your international flight into Dar es Salaam. From here board your flight to Ruaha National Park. Your guide collect you from the airstrip. Arrive in time for dinner at Kwihala Camp, set in a beautifully diverse landscape that ranges from baobab forests, granite kopjes and open plains to cooling rivers and woodland valleys. Your Africa adventure begins!

After breakfast and farewells, your guide will transfer you from Kwihala to the Ruaha airstrip for your scheduled flight to Selous airstrip. Selous Game Reserve, named after the famous British explorer and hunter, Courteney Selous is where you’ll spend your next 3 nights. Your guide will transfer you to Sand Rivers Selous in time for lunch. Your afternoon activity awaits after freshening up.

On safari – A typical morning will encompass an early rise followed by a light breakfast and coffee/tea before embarking on your morning game drive. A return to camp at around 10h00 for a hearty brunch and a siesta. Meet again later on that afternoon for tea and scones in the traditional British way before setting out on your evening game drive. Your guide will be sure to pick a great spot for Gin & Tonic sundowners as you cap off another magical day in Africa with a splendid sunset. Head back to camp to enjoy a delicious evening meal in the company of your guide and fellow guests.

After lunch, there is time to unwind and relax before heading out for a late afternoon game drive in an open safari vehicle. The afternoon culminates at the regular sundowner spot where you are afforded the perfect setting from where to enjoy the African sunset.

After breakfast and final farewells, board your shared charter flight to Zanzibar Island for some R&R on the white sands and turquoise waters of the spice island. A local representative will transfer you to Matemwe Lodge.

The day is your to either relax next to the pool or take in the various activities on offer at the resort. Explore the island through excursions organised at the front desk. Why not do a tour to Stone Town to learn of it’s rich Arabic history or visit the house Freddie Mercury grew up in. Fishing and snorkeling excursions are other popular outings.
