Ivory Lodge Hwange is named after the beautiful elephant herds that have inhabited this land for eons. Everything at the lodge is open to the views of the waterhole where elephants hang out, and maybe a predator or two later one when the stars appear in the vast indigo skies

A fantastic feature at Ivory Safari Lodge is a hide at the water hole, not far from the lounge, for really close observation of birds, hippos, plains game in herds, buffalo and even lions. It’s a family-friendly environment with fencing to keep guests safe between game drives and bush walks. Night drives in the concession reveal thrilling sightings of leopards, anteaters and other nocturnal creatures such as owls and jackals.

Ivory Lodge is a serene destination made for those who want to bond with elephants in their natural habitat. They wander around your stilted chalet, grumbling and munching, curious about you as you peer from your private deck, the camera always at the ready. Hundreds of these elephants migrate in a cycle, their huge tusks leading them, from Botswana dense Okavango and Moremi conservation areas to Hwange National Park.
