Kaingu Safari Lodge Overview
Lying opposite the Kafue National Park is Kaingu Safari Lodge, located on the banks of the Kafue River in the centre of the Namwala Game Management Area. Kaingu is an ideal Zambia holiday destination for travelers in search of the ultimate African bush experience.
Zambia safari packages are varied, depending on the number of groups and specifications. Guests have a choice of four double Meru-style tents or the two-bedroom Family House. The Meru-style tents overlook the Kafue River, each with en-suite bathrooms and showers. The two-bedrooms in the Family House are both en-suite and the central living area leads out onto a private viewing deck overlooking the River. The focal point of Kaingu Safari Lodge is a thatched central boma which has a lounge, bar and dining area. Here you can sit back and unwind with friendly staff who are eager to tend to your needs.
Kaingu is situated on a magnificent and secluded stretch of the Kafue River, approximately 400km north of the majestic Victoria Falls. The Kafue National Park, only a 10-minute boat trip away, is home to a variety of wildlife species which you can enjoy viewing in the comfort of the open-vehicle game drives. With all its myriad of channels, rapids and islands, Kafue River lends itself to different kinds of water-based activities which include canoeing, fishing, river trails and boat cruises.
The density of animals of some areas of South Luangwa are not generally on offer at Kafue, but its unparalleled variety of species and that you can enjoy the wildlife almost on your own makes Kafue one of the last secrets of Africa.
