Time + Tide Nsolo Camp has won awards for its excellence in accommodation and safaris in South Luangwa National Park, Zambia’s top game reserve where walking safaris are the best way to view wildlife. Voyage2Africa recommends Nsolo Camp for its exceptional accommodation in chalets of grass and reeds, its eco-friendly approach to building and use of energy and its expert team of game rangers and guides.
Walking in the wildlife rich region of South Luangwa National Park opens up an authentic African safari for all visitors to Time + Tide camps, especially this rustic chic Nsolo Bush Camp which was found in 1987 on a bend in the Luwi sand river where antelope and predators pass through.
Stunning wooden decks at Nsolo Lodge Zambia allow plenty of privacy and the ensuite showers are hot and alfresco, leading off large bedrooms with wonderful amenities to keep you warm and comfy. Wander down to the central camp area to enjoy the shady bar lounge area and extensive terrace for ongoing game viewing on the banks of the dry Luwi River and its waterholes.
Look out for wild dogs around Nsolo Camp – honey badgers, crocodiles and plenty of elephants and hippos. Set off on walking trails every day to see more in the fauna and flora of the Zambian bushveld. Sundowner game drives show the leopards in their thickets, the owls in their trees and many more wonderful night creatures and sounds.
Time + Tide Nsolo is indeed a special bush camp that we can add to your tour of South Luangwa when you customize your holiday to several Norman Carr camps in the wilderness.

Time + Tide Nsolo Camp is exquisite and situated in a wildlife-rich region of South Luangwa. Exceptional guiding & walking safaris in the park from here. Raised on wooden stilted decks, the grass and reed chalets ay Nsolo perch on their own spots on the enormous bend of the dry Luwi River and its waterholes.
Guests are treated to panoramic views of the lush vegetation and infinite landscape while wild animals continually come and go to drink at the water sources in front of the camp lounge and bar. Only 4 of these rustic chalets peep out from the trees.
While walking in the wilderness is the focus at Nsolo Camp Zambia, game drives are also popular on the few roads through this section of the park – a drive and a walk are the best ways to do it. Guests can also walk to the wild sleep-out camp to experience a night in nature in casual tents with a fire for food and stars for friends. Another option is to walk to the sister camps of Luwi and Kakuli and stay the night there.
