Voyage2Africa offers unbeatable safari packages and a once-in-a-lifetime honeymoon at The Outpost Lodge in Makuleke Park Kruger. Explore a vast, untamed 26,500-hectare wilderness along the Limpopo River near Zimbabwe, Crooks Corner, and Mozambique, where true solitude awaits. The lodge’s sleek, modern architecture features clean lines, blending steel, concrete, and open spaces to harmonize with the landscape and minimize environmental impact.

Luxury Facilities and safaris at The Outpost

The award-winning Outpost Kruger features 12 spacious minimalistic en-suite luxury chalets, wide open to nature with big, polished screed decks that flow from the bedroom into the tree canopy and clouds. Find them on a hill overlooking the Luvuvhu River.

Screens can be changed to suit the sun’s direction and to adjust to the heat of the day and the chill of the night. Tuck into fresh venison meals beside the lapa pool at dusk – candles are lit and stars come out then the owls serenade you along with the mighty lions. Tell stories of your day in the clean crisp wilderness with experienced guides and trackers who took you to places you never knew existed.

A walking safari in Pafuri is a safari adventure extraordinaire in this awe-inspiring part of the Kruger National Park. Owned by the Makuleke people and boasting about 80% of all the region’s biodiversity, it is here that you can feel at peace on foot in the bush. The Makuleke concession falls in the epicentre of the Great Limpopo Park, which comprises Kruger National Park, the Gaza National Park in Mozambique and the Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe. This location makes The Outpost Lodge safari experience truly exceptional.

Overview

Book the honeymoon of a lifetime at Outpost Lodge way up north in the Pafui Section of the Kruger National Park. It is the Makuleke Concession,  falling right into the centre of the Great Limpopo National Park that consists of Kruger, Gaza National Park in Mozambique and Gonarezhou in Zimbabwe. An enormous untouched wilderness area packed with elephant herds, Nyala antelope and other herds of beautiful grazing wild animals and myriad bird species too. What more could a romantic couple ask for?

Dreamy modern safari accommodation in the honeymoon suite includes all meals, drinks and activities. Absorb breath-taking views of the Luvuvhu River Valley from open, airy cement screed rooms with ensuite baths and showers, looking across the bushveld to Mozambique. The other 11 individual suites also boast mini bars, mosquito nets, tea and coffee facilities and remote-controlled fabric screens.

Hosting a total of 24 guests, Outpost Lodge Kruger is very secluded, halfway up a hill with panoramic views into Kruger National Park. The modern bar attracts guests to meet one another and a large swimming pool and deck offer a great chilling place in the heat of the day.

There is so much to see in the form of rare fauna and flora, including of course the Big Five roaming this 26 500 hectares of the Makuleke concession. Look out for sprawling herds of elephant and buffalo, Nyala and Tsessebe on game drives twice a day with experienced guides.

Daily hikes and walks to see birds is thrilling – see the colourful bushveld species and the large raptors and owls that belong in this wild place: Scarlet-chested Sunbirds, Broad billed Rollers, Redheaded Weavers, Wattle-eyed Flycatchers and Owls such as the Pel’s Fishing Owl, the Scops, White-faced, Pearl-Spotted and Giant Eagle Owl.
