Many visitors refer to the Strand Hotel as the hidden pearl overseeing Sea and Desert, an astonishing hotel overlooking a pretty cove and main beach a short walk away. The resort has a very quaint feel to it, in a historic, old sense but the modern décor is just right for a beach hotel. Eat out at the Brewer and Butcher for beer and meat or try the more relaxed Farmhouse Deli, sunny and spacious.
Take time out from the beaches to try the combo activity of quad biking and sandboarding – and explore the Namib Dunes.

The Strand Hotel is a resort with a very quaint feel to it, a bit of history too and a sense of timelessness too. We loved the decor though and really wanted to stay a bit longer. My husband was so impressed with the Butcher meat restaurant and its amazing craft beers with ocean views. We sat there every evening. They have three restaurants and my favourite was the Farmhouse Deli also with Atlantic views and so airy and sunny. We were on the way to the Sossuvlei so this was perfect for us. Thanks to Ivan and all his staff who served us so graciously!
