Day 1
Arrive in Cape Town, the Mother City. Meet your hotel representative to be escorted into the city. Find your classic and historical Cape Cadogan Boutique Hotel very conveniently located in the heart of the busy and trendy Kloof Street which abounds with restaurants and bars. The day is yours to explore and settle in. Why not make use of the complimentary shuttle into the V&A waterfront for dinner in the evening? Ask the hotel to pre-book upon arrival or simply choose from the many options once there!
Days 2 – 4
Cape Town has loads to offer every visitor so in the coming days you can choose to visit the Cape Winelands for unforgettable wine tastings of award-winning wines, and to sample traditional Cape Malay curries, Afrikaans desserts and nouvelle cuisine too. Check out the Dutch architecture, sip a sundowner at Camps Bay and do a power walk on the Sea Point Promenade. There’s Fynbos, African penguins, Chacma baboons, Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and a tour of Cape Point for stunning panorama views of False Bay.
Day 5
Bid farewell to Cape Town, and transfer to the airport for your 2-hour flight up to Skukuza Airport, the gateway to safaris in Greater Kruger. Meet and greet your Lion Sands ranger and game drive to the luxury Lion Sands River Lodge. Check-in, and meet your guide for afternoon tea before a thrilling sundowner and night game drive. Return later for a sumptuous dinner in the boma.
Days 6 – 7
On safari – morning and afternoon activities included. Relax during mid-day at the swimming pool drink in hand. Game view from your private viewing deck. Everywhere you go, delightful timber walkways lead you to a spa, gym and pool, and back to the main lodge. Gorgeous water features imitate the sounds of the nearby river. A secluded bird hide adds tremendous value to this lodge and unforgettable interpretive nature walks teach you bush lore.
Day 8
Sad but true, your last day on safari at Lion Sands. Enjoy your final game drive or bush walk dependent on flight times.
