Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1
1 NIGHT, BED & BREAKFAST BASIS
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport and enjoy the drive to Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge. It’s a sensory explosion of coffee pickers harvesting the beans, the fresh roasting aromas of freshly brewed coffee and the lush coffee plantations against the verdant hills. Take a scenic stroll in the perfectly manicured gardens where 12 Plantation Suites sprawl through the emerald coffee fields with their coffee bean themes.
Day 2
2 NIGHTS, FULL BOARD BASIS
Enjoy a fresh breakfast at Elewana Arusha Coffee Lodge and a fascinating Bean-To-Cup some Arusha coffee estate private tour then it’s time to fly to Kuro Airstrip in Tarangire National Park. Land, meet your ranger and game drive through the Tarangire National Park to Elewana Tarangire Treetops to get ready for your traditional Maasai boma dinner.
Day 3
Start your day with a wonderful breakfast at the camp then set off on a game drive all morning to explore Tanzania’s Manyara Region, a vital refuge for wildlife named after the Tarangire River crossing the region. Climb up to your thatched treehouse suite at Tarangire Treetops, in ancient baobab trees, and soak in breath-taking 360-degree panoramas of the Great Rift Valley, Lake Manyara and the distinctive peak of Mt. Kilimanjaro. These delightful suites feature superb private wrap-around balconies and open bathrooms with a double shower.
Day 4
3 NIGHTS, FULL BOARD BASIS
Enjoy your final breakfast at Treetops Camp amp and revel in a morning game drive en-route to the airstrip with a delightful picnic in Tarangire National Park. Then fly to Manyara airstrip and drive to Elewana The Manor at Ngorongoro for high tea. The 18 deluxe suites and the central main house radiate a theme of stately European elegance and colourful East African chic. Dinner is an elegant affair.
Day 5
Breakfast at The Manor and set off your first game drive to Lake Manyara National Park, exploring the shores of the lake where more than 400 bird species, including thousands of pink flamingos and pelicans, huddle on their perpetual migration. A picnic in this wilderness may reveal the amazing herds of elephants gracing the acacia woodlands and lush forests, drinking at the edge of the lake in their hundreds. Relax back at The Manor Ngorongoro with a spa treatment, swim in the pool and then dinner.
Day 6
Awaken for an early breakfast at The Manor and then it’s time for the full-day adventure into the Ngorongoro crater on tour with a picnic lunch. It’s hard to believe that the actual rim of the crater is an astounding 2 286m above sea level – a veritable mountain. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area covers enormous areas of pristine grasslands, savanna woodlands and forests. Look out for black rhinos, giant-tusked elephants, black-manned lions and about 6 000 resident wildebeest!
Day 7
3 NIGHTS, FULL BOARD BASIS
It’s your final breakfast at The Manor then fly to Serengeti National Park, to stay in Elewana Serengeti Pioneer or Migration Camp. Serengeti Migration Lodge is named after the biggest spectacle in East Africa, the great migration of wildebeest and zebra stampeding to greener pastures. Pioneer Camp is a special eco-camp with a minimal environmental footprint on the wilderness and offers select guests a true return to nature in only 12 tented suites featuring old-world safari décor.
Days 8 – 9
Awaken with the sun, enjoy breakfast at the camp then a full morning game drive in the mind-blowing Serengeti National Park. Migration Camp is intimate, raised between huge boulders from a lush hideout in the vegetation with sweeping grassland views. Stroll over to the dining tent for meals or enjoy private bush meals in hidden destinations on game drives.
Day 10
The final bush breakfast in Serengeti, followed by a game drive to the airstrip and fly to Arusha Airport. Road transfer to Arusha Coffee Lodge for one night if you need it before you leave the country or continue on your safari. Picture the original homestead of the early 1900s here when safaris and coffee were bosom buddies and feel the aura of this graceful old lodge that once housed coffee plantation landowners.
