There are 44 air-conditioned villas in total with 5 different styles.
At entry level is their Beach Villa, which sleeps up to two adults and one child. This has a king-size or twin beds, bedside tables and lamps, small living area with desk and comfy seating around a coffee table. Additional villa amenities include a flatscreen television, tea-and-coffee station, digital safe, and complimentary Wi-Fi. The en-suite bathroom offers twin basins, an indoor and outdoor shower, and freestanding bath. beachfront veranda and hammock with dreamy ocean views and a direct walkway to the gorgeous beach!
The Beach Pool Villa has the same features as the Beach Villa, but also boasts its own private plunge pool. The two-bedroom Sea View Pool Villas has a 250sqm footprint and are very popular with families featuring 2 ensuite bedrooms opening onto a central living room with flat screen TV and modern comfy seating. Indoor and outdoor dining spaces are enhanced with a kitchenette and bar. Enjoy family bonding time together out in the pool, then relax in a deep, quiet bath overlooking the bay at one of the best family resorts in Mozambique.
Last but not least the Anantara Pool Villa overlooks the Bazaruto Bay. It features 2 ensuite bedrooms with a sunken jacuzzi in the master bedroom. A stunning sundeck and private plunge pool, dining sala and kitchenette, separate lounge, indoor rain showers and a wonderful view of the ocean.
But let’s face it, as lovely as your villas may be, you will have to tear yourself away from your view and comfort to do some serious exploring, wining and dining and sampling all the activities on offer at this Bazaruto luxury resort. The foodies amongst you won’t be disappointed there is a great range of restaurants and bars at Anantara Bazaruto Resort & Spa. Golfinho,(which mean Dolphin in Portuguese) has views to die for and has a traditional Mozambican meets Mediterranean influence. Tartaruga (turtle) is set on its own deck and specialises in locally sourced seafood which could be anything from lula (squid) freshly caught fish, prawns, crab and of course lobster. Tapas style lighter bites are available at Clube Naval, which is a relaxed bar serving excellent tropical cocktails! Dining by Design provides signature private dining, and guests are also welcome to dine in their private villa. As would be expected of a resort of this nature there is a huge array of choice from breakfast coffees and pastries to an evening seafood grill. So you will be pleased to note that communal facilities also include a well-equipped fitness centre, with weight training and cardio equipment as well as a full fitness circuit to keep those holiday calories in check! There are tennis courts too with wonderful sea views.
The view from the Spa at Anantara Bazaruto Island is worth a visit all on its own. It’s nothing short of mesmerizing perched high above the ocean and features five treatment rooms, a hydrotherapy pool, and a health bar.
