It takes 40 minutes to drive from the lodge to the entrance of the Chobe National Park – along a bumpy sandy track through Kasane Forest Reserve. From there, the real game drive begins.

Lodge staff recommend a boat ride early morning to catch more animals on camera and fewer tourists; an afternoon game drive to avoid the crowds and to see animals at the best time of day when they are moving. Guests sit back in 10-seater open vehicles to get close to wild animals in both Chobe and Kasane Forest Reserve. Sit for hours at the waterhole in front of the main lodge under large shady acacia trees. Rolling lawns surround the swimming pool and a bird bath and bird table attract a colourful array of stunning endemic birds.
