Modern amenities in your suite include fans, tea and coffee-making facilities, biodegradable toiletries, dressing gowns, and battery-operated lights.

Meet like-minded guests in the cosy library, plush lounge and friendly bar and dine in delight in the alfresco dining area as elephants socialise around you at the active waterhole. Take a dip in the refreshing swimming pool while birds flit around the shaded water. All we want you to do is relax on your African safari while we sort out your luxury needs in the perfect surroundings for immersion in nature.

Spend glorious sunny days game driving in the Savuti region and visit a fascinating San rock art site. Your fully inclusive package includes accommodation, meals, drinks and activities, leaving you to revel in the now, not worrying about the future. Lions are bold in the Savuti region, having mastered the art of killing elephants, so await a natural drama any day while you are there. Voyage2Africa organises amazing package deals for your once-in-a-lifetime safari treat to Botswana so ask us to assist you to design your own adventure.

From its magnificent setting on the banks of the Savuti Channel of the Chobe region in Botswana, Savute Safari Lodge offers a great safari destination in which to explore the nearby Savuti Marshes. This water attracts vast numbers of elephants coming down to drink in the afternoons and evenings.

The dry Savute channel is part of the active Savute ecosystem and is renowned for its massive concentrations of elephants and lion and their troubled relationship – lions have learned how to hunt these huge herbivores! Accommodation at Savute Safari Lodge consists of 12 elegant, thatched chalets all raised up on stilts to enhance endless views and to relieve pressure on the environment. Each chalet is roomy and designed to hide in the lush tree line on the banks of the channel, constructed of local timber and glass and decorated in fresh and inviting colours. Each suite has a private veranda, a combined bedroom and sitting room and a lovely ensuite bathroom.

The main area houses the library, lounge area and bar which all provide great locations in which to relax during the day or discuss sightings in the evening over a few drinks. Not far along the amazing channel banks guests can enjoy one of Savute Safari Lodge’s most entertaining features – an al fresco dining area at eye-level with the elephants which come down in the evenings to drink from the Channel.

Activities at Savute Safari Lodge revolve exclusively around 4×4 game drives in and around the Savuti Marsh and along the Savuti Channel. There’s also the chance to visit the ancient San rock paintings at Gubatsa Hills. Enjoy your unique African safari and return to watch game at the active waterhole in camp, a fine feature of this Chobe National Park lodge in Botswana. No children under 12.
