Day to Day Itinerary
Days 1 – 4
Arrive at Maun Airport for your light aircraft transfer to Khwai Airstrip for Machaba Camp. This classic safari-style camp looks as if it was built in the 1950s, its stunning luxury tents containing essential mod cons such as international plug points, en suite showers, spacious living areas, the finest quality linen, and private decks. Game drives, bush walks, incredible food and campfires every night as stars cover the skies.
Days 4 – 7
Light aircraft transfer from Khwai Airstrip to Qorokwe Airstrip for Gomoti Plains Camp. Perfectly situated in the wilderness overlooking the Gomoti River in a private concession, this gorgeous safari set up offers captivating outdoor activities on land and water. A classic safari-style camp promising mind-blowing night drives and off-road game viewing to find predator-prey interactions such as African wild dog packs, prides of lions, huge herds of buffalo and fabulous leopard and cheetah sightings!
Days 7 – 10
Light aircraft transfer from Qorokwe Airstrip to Kiri Airstrip for Kiri Camp. The newest of the Machaba Safaris camps on an exquisite private concession, Kiri Camp offers both game drives and water activities in the more remote areas in the delta. A motorboat ride during peak flood times guarantees unrivalled wildlife viewing from the river. The sublime camp design uses reeds, canvas and wood to merge with nature and birds in the trees.
